Tropical species of Cladobotryum and Hypomyces producing red pigments
Twelve species of Hypomyces/Cladobotryum producing red pigments are reported growing in various tropical areas of the world. Ten of these are described as new, including teleomorphs for two previously known anamorphic species. In two species the teleomorph has been found in nature and in three others it was obtained in culture; only anamorphs are known for the rest. None of the studied tropical...
متن کاملThe Fungicolous Ascomycetes Genus Hypomyces in Korea
The genus Hypomyces contains fungi that grow on mushrooms, including agarics, boletes, and Aphyllophorales. While 53 Hypomyces species have been reported worldwide, only one was in Korea. In this study, two new Korean species were identified as H. luteovirens and H. tubariicola based on morphology and internal transcribed spacer sequencing.
Analysis of the Mitochondrial Genome in Hypomyces aurantius Reveals a Novel Twintron Complex in Fungi
Hypomyces aurantius is a mycoparasite that causes cobweb disease, a most serious disease of cultivated mushrooms. Intra-species identification is vital for disease control, however the lack of genomic data makes development of molecular markers challenging. Small size, high copy number, and high mutation rate of fungal mitochondrial genome makes it a good candidate for intra and inter species d...
متن کاملSOME PHIALIDIC FUNGICOLOUS FUNGI FROM THE SOUTHERN CASPIAN COASTS
During 2003-05 Iranian provinces in the Southern Caspian coast (Gilan, Mazandaran and GolestanProvinces, N. Iran) were investigated in order to collect and identify fungicolous species on various fungal hosts. Fifty-seven isolates were obtained and these were classified into seven genera, Acremonium, Cladobotryum, Fusarium, Sepedonium, Hypomyces, Lecanicillium, Simplicillium and Trichoderma. Am...
